If you’re anything like me with your flavor references and LOVE chocolate and peanut butter, then you will definitely enjoy these peanut butter blossoms. They are a soft and chewy peanut butter cookie topped with a chocolate kiss and they scream holiday!!
These cookies have the best texture and perfect level of peanut butter. Not too much where they are hard to eat but definitely enough to give it that creamy peanut butter flavor!
If you’re coming from my 12 days of Christmas cookies series, welcome! I am sooo glad you’re here!! If you have no clue what I’m talking about, no worries. Basically, I have been doing a video series on my social media called 12 days of Christmas cookies leading up to Christmas and this is day 6!!
So far I’ve done Chocolate Peppermint Cookies , Triple Chip Cookies, Chewy Spice Cookies, Christmas M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies, Hot Cocoa Cookies and now these!! Wow this list is going to keep getting longer and longer, isn’t it? Haha
What you’ll need—
- butter
- peanut butter
- sugar
- brown sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- flour
- cornstarch
- baking soda
- salt
- chocolate kisses (I used hersheys)
For this recipe, I use creamy peanut butter but you could even spice it up a bit and use crunchy peanut butter if that’s what you prefer! Either way would be sooo good.
Peanut Butter Blossoms
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3+1/3 cup sugar separated
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Hershey Kisses
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350° and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl add your butter and peanut butter and mix until combined. Add your brown sugar and 1/3 cup of your white sugar and mix again until everything comes together.
- Add your eggs and vanilla to your butter and sugar mixture and stir until it gets super fluffy.
- Once all of you wet ingredients are combined, add your flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt and fold until combined.
- Scoop out your cookie dough into 1-2 inch balls and roll into the remaining 1/3 cup of sugar. Place onto your baking sheet a few inches apart and bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, top with a chocolate kiss (I used Hersheys) and place back in the oven for 1 more minute. Remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes.
- Serve, share and enjoy!!
ANDDDD that is all. These cookies are for real, so easy to make that I’m sure just about anyone can make them. Once you try these, there may be no going back. They are just that good. I can’t get over the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, especially this time of year.
I hope that you enjoy this recipe with your loved ones and that it brings people together.
