Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks, unsalted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour all-purpose
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, add your softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Stir until well combined.
  • Add your eggs, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and mix until light and fluffy.
  • Add your salt, baking powder, corn starch, and flour and stir until just combined.
  • Pour in your white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane pieces, reserving some for the top of your cookies. Stir until well incorporated.
  • Scoop out your cookie dough into 1-2 inch balls. Place on your baking sheets lined with partment paper 1-2 inches apart. (to prevent from spreading into each other)
  • Top with remaning white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane pieces. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven when edges start to set. Using a round cookie cutter, scoot in the edges of your cookies to make them round. You can add more white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane pieces, if you'd like. Top with flaky sea salt.
  • Let cool, share, and enjoy!!
