Maple Brown Sugar Cookies

These Maple Brown Sugar Cookies are soft, chewy and have such perfect maple flavor. They are the perfect holiday cookie and super easy to make. Inspired by the Christmas movie Elf, these cookies have real pure maple syrup in them and topped with a maple glaze.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks, unsalted, browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp maple extract
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 3/4 cup flour all purpose

For Maple Glaze:

  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, add your brown butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Stir until combined.
  • Add your eggs, vanilla extract, maple extract, and pure maple syrup. Mix until light and fluffy.
  • Add in your dry ingredients, which includes cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour. Stir until combined.
  • Scoop your cookie dough into one to 2 inch balls, and place on your baking sheets lined with parchment paper a few inches apart. (To prevent from spreading into each other.)
  • Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and using a round cookie cutter and scoot around your cookies to make them round.
  • In a glass measuring cup, add your pure maple syrup, powdered sugar, and milk, and stir until welcome combined. Drizzle over top of your cookies once they have cooled.
  • Serve and enjoy!!
