Christmas Monster Cookies

These Christmas Monster Cookies are soft, chewy and packed full of peanut butter, oats and rich chocolate. The texture of these cookies are perfect and the Christmas M&Ms add the best crunch. They have the best of everything and are the perfect festive Christmas recipe for any holiday gathering.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter softened, unsalted, 1 stick
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 2 cup flour all purpose spooned and leveled
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Christmas M&Ms
  • flaky sea salt optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, add your softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and sugar. Stir until well combined.
  3. Add your eggs and vanilla extract. Stir together until light and fluffy in texture.
  4. Then, add all of your dry ingredients, including your flour, baking soda, oats and salt. Stir until just combined.
  5. Add your chocolate chips, and m&ms reserving some for the tops of the cookies. Stir until just combined.
  6. Scoop out your cookie dough into 1-2 inch balls and place on your baking sheets lined with parchment paper a few inches apart. (to prevent them from spreading into each other)
  7. Top with additional chocolate chips and M&ms.
  8. Bake at 350℉ for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and using a round cookie cutter, scoot around the cookies to make them round and all the same size.
  9. Top with flaky sea salt. (optional)
  10. Let cool, share and enjoy!!
