Ingredients

For Cookies:
  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks, browned, unsalted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract or bean paste
  • 1/2 tsp maple extract optional
  • 2 tbsp Warner's Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp conrstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour all purpose
  • 1 cup pecans + more for topping chopped, toasted
For Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup Warner's Pure Maple Syrup
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk or heavy whipping cream

Method

For Cookies:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a sauce pan over medium high heat, add your butter and let melt. Once it's melted, keep it on the heat and let it cook for 5-10 minutes until it foams up and then turns an amber brown color. Transfer into a glass measuring cup and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl add your cooled browned butter, brown sugar and sugar and stir until combined.
  4. Add your eggs, vanilla extract, maple extract (optional), and Warner's Pure Maple Syrup and whisk together until well combined.
  5. Then, add your dry ingredients, including your flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking soda and salt and mix until just incorporated.
  6. Add your chopped toasted pecans and mix.
  7. Scoop your cookie dough onto your baking sheets lined with parchment paper a couple inches apart (to prevent from spreading into each other.)
  8. Bake in the oven at 350 F for 8-10 minutes, until edges start to set. Remove from oven and let cool.
For Glaze:
  1. In a small bowl add your Warner's Pure Maple Syrup, powdered sugar and milk (or heavy cream) and stir until it comes together.
  2. Once you cookies have cooled, drizzle with your maple glaze and top with more chopped toasted pecans.
  3. Serve, share and enjoy!!
