4th of July M&M Brownies

These 4th of July M&M Brownies are soft, gooey and so chocolatey. The 4th of July M&Ms on top add the perfect texture and flavor. The brownies have crinkle tops and a fudgy center making these the ideal brownie. This recipe would be perfect for a patriotic picnic or festive get together in celebration of Independence Day!!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate melted
  • 3/4 cup butter 1 1/2 sticks, unsalted
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup red, white & blue sprinkles
  • 1 cup 4th of July colored M&Ms

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 325° F and line a 9 by 13 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, add your eggs and sugar and whisk until well combined and starts to get foamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, add your melted butter and melted chocolate and stir until combined.
  4. Slowly pour your chocolate butter mixture into your sugar egg mixture. Stir until combined.
  5. Add your vanilla extract and stir again.
  6. Add in your flour, cocoa powder and salt and mix until just combined. Batter will be pretty thick.
  7. Pour your brownie batter into your baking dish lined with parchment. (Parchment helps remove the brownies from you pan and avoids sticking) Spread it out evenly.
  8. Top your spread out batter with 4th of July colored M&ms and red, white and blue sprinkles.
  9. Bake in your oven pre-heated to 325° for about 25-30 minutes.
  10. Remove from oven. Let cool.
  11. Once cooled, cut into squares, share and enjoy!!
