Jesus loves you so much!! Every year around Christmas it’s always so refreshing to be reminded of why we celebrate. It’s because our savior came to earth as a baby boy to fulfill the purpose of God and save us from our sin, which leads to death. We are forgiven by Him when we ask.
It’s day 12 of my 12 days of Christmas Cookies Series!! I am so excited to have continued my cookie series I started last year and do it again this year!! It is so much fun to bake all sorts of Christmas Cookies for you!!
These videos are shared on my tiktok and instagram and it’s so special to see you guys make the recipes!! It makes me so happy!! To see people making the cookies from the series for their loved ones is the best!! The favorite from last year was definitely my Hot Cocoa Cookies. For the last cookie of my cookies series for 2023 are these Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies. They are soft, chewy and packed with peppermint and chocolate flavor. They are a great cookie for Christmas especially if you’re a fan of chocolate and peppermint.

So far this year I have done, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Chocolate Marbled Cookies, Cranberry Orange Muffin Top Cookies, White Chocolate Coconut Macadamia Nut Cookies, Marbled Christmas Sugar Cookies, Salted Caramel Cookies, Chocolate Crinkle Cookies & Cinnamon Roll Cookies!! They are all so yum!! This Christmas Cookie series is one of my favorite things to share.
Baking around Christmas time is one of my absolute favorite times to bake. There is just something so special about baking for your family and friends and for the people you love. I love it!! Baking around Christmas is so nostalgic and fun.
If you’re looking for some recipes to make for christmas, a holiday party, your co-workers, for a family gathering, your neighbors, or even a cookie swap or cookie box, I’d love for you to try out any of my cookie recipes. They are all so yum and most stay soft or can be chilled for a week to even a month depending on the recipe.

What You’ll Need:
- butter (unsalted)
- sugar
- brown sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- peppermint extract
- cornstarch
- baking soda
- salt
- flour (all-purpose)
- white chocolate chips
- chocolate chips
- crushed candy canes
- flaky sea salt (optional)
All the ingredients for these cookies are so simple but make big results!! I like to share a list of everything you’ll need for these cookies before all the recipe details so that way you know everything you’ll need and what you may need to get before you start making the recipe. All these ingredients and tools can easily be found whether that’s in your pantry already or in your nearby grocery store.
Let’s Get Started!!
Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter 2 sticks, unsalted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups flour all-purpose
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, add your softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Stir until well combined.
- Add your eggs, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and mix until light and fluffy.
- Add your salt, baking powder, corn starch, and flour and stir until just combined.
- Pour in your white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane pieces, reserving some for the top of your cookies. Stir until well incorporated.
- Scoop out your cookie dough into 1-2 inch balls. Place on your baking sheets lined with partment paper 1-2 inches apart. (to prevent from spreading into each other)
- Top with remaning white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane pieces. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from oven when edges start to set. Using a round cookie cutter, scoot in the edges of your cookies to make them round. You can add more white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane pieces, if you'd like. Top with flaky sea salt.
- Let cool, share, and enjoy!!
