Welcome to day 2 of my 12 days of Christmas cookies series. In this recipe we are combining two of my favorite flavors, chocolate and peanut butter, into one delicious cookie. If you like chocolate and peanut butter, then you’ll love these peanut butter chocolate marbled cookies.
If you are just now tuning into this series, welcome, I am so happy to have you. Last year I did a video series on my social media called the “12 days of Christmas Cookie series.” It was so fun and you guys seemed to like it too so I’m doing it again this year.

Here is the link to my series if you’d like to check the videos out!! Watching how to make them sometimes makes it much easier!! 12 Days of Christmas Christmas Cookies Series
These cookies take the delicious classic soft peanut butter cookie and twirl them into one marbled chocolate peanut butter cookie. So sweet and delicious and they only take a little while to make. They are rolled in sugar to give the outside a sparkle and they have the perfect thick and chewy bite.
Baking around Christmas time is my absolute favorite. Something about the coziness of baking and cuddling up with your christmas pjs to watch a christmas movie is just so fun to me. Like my IDEAL night. Christmas is such a special time to make memories and it’s a perfect opportunity to make things so meaningful. Baking is one of my favorite things ever because it does just that. It brings people together. It makes people smile.

All the ingredients you’ll need to make these cookies listed below are so simple and easy to find. Whether that is at your local grocery store or already in your pantry, there is nothing crazy about this list. I like sharing the list of what you need so when you’re shopping, it’s easy to keep track of all you need to make these cookies.
What You’ll Need:
- butter
- peanut butter
- brown sugar
- sugar
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- flour
- cornstarch
- baking soda
- salt
- cocoa powder
- milk
- parchment paper

These cookies actually only require to make ONE DOUGH!! Crazy right?!? Because these cookies are marbled!! First you make the Peanut butter cookies dough and then split it in two and add cocoa and milk to one half. So it’s one dough to make and then with a little bit of baking magic, you have marbled cookies!!
If you want to level up these cookies, EVEN MORE, you could add chocolate chip, peanut butter chips, or you could even top them with a Hersheys kiss to make them a blossom cookie or a mini Reese’s cup. That’s what I want to do next time I make them. SO GOOD.

Let’s Get Started:

Peanut Butter Chocolate Marbled Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 + 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl add your peanut butter and softened butter and cream together.
- Add your brown sugar, 1/2 cup of sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.
- Add your eggs and vanilla and mix again.
- Once, everything is well combined, add your dry ingredients. Flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt. Stir until just combined.
- Split your cookie dough in half and add your cocoa powder and milk to half of it. Fold until combined.
- Scoop out your peanut butter cookie dough and chocolate peanut butter cookie dough and marble it together. I usually scoop out a little of each, put them together than break in half and roll back together.
- Roll cookie dough into 1-2 inch balls and roll in the additional 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper a couple inches apart and bake at 350℉ for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, tap your pan down to create the creases. Let cool, share and enjoy!!

These are some of the best cookies I have ever eaten. My husband thinks they are absolutely delicious.
As someone that doesn’t like peanut butter cookies, I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed them.
We had a fun time making them together, overall I definitely recommend this recipe. 10/10 will make again.
Looking forward to making these. Can you clarify the granulated sugar measurement? It says 1/2 + 1/2 cup…is that a typo?
Hello Lynn, I am so excited for you to try them. Yes, that is correct. 1/2 a cup goes in the dough and the other 1/2 cup is the roll the cookie dough balls in before baking. Hope this helps, enjoy!!
It’s 1/2 cup in the actual recipe and the other 1/2 cup you use to roll your dough balls in before baking to give them a sugar coating
SO good! My husband usually doesn’t like peanut butter cookies and even he loves these too. They were a hit with our whole family.
YUM! I’m 14 and have been following recipes i come across to learn how to bake. I made these for my family last week and they were a hit! Easy to make and delicious!
If you chill the dough, how much would you increase the baking time to?
Just until the edges are set like usual, maybe around 2 minutes. Or you can let the dough get to room temperature before baking as well.
These are a new favorite! They were a big hit with friends. So happy I came across this recipe!
I made these for my Christmas cookie tins that I give out and they were so easy and SO GOOD! I doubled this recipe and made about 60 cookies. They came out perfect! These cookies even stay chewy!’ Definitely will be making again!
Can’t wait to try these! They look so yummy!
In steps 2 & 3 it says to add cream. Is there another ingredient that I should add? If so, what type of cream? 🙂 thank you so much!
Thank you so much, I’m excited for you to try them!! No cream, just meant that’s as in “cream them together.” Enjoy!!
Made these cookies and hubby, son and I just LOVED them! Will be making again!!!!!! I did add peanut butter and chocolate chips in it and it was the best decision I made! Totally elevated it more and just so delicious 😍 more please!…. FYI this recipe makes about 30 cookies so it’s very shareable ♥️ DELISH ⭐️
these are truly the best cookies i’ve ever made & i’m not even a huge fan of a PB cookie. My friends & family raved about these when I made!
Truly the best cookies I’ve ever made!!
These cookies are so yummy!! My husband said they are His favorite cookies I have made so far!! SO SO delectable! They are the kind of cookies that are good warm and cold, crunchy or gooey! 10/10!
Hello,
I have a question about using baking soda in this recipe.
Usually, baking soda requires an acid and a liquid to become activated. If not, it could still be tasted in baked cookies. Could I substitute baking soda for baking powder?
Thank you.
Hey there!! Yes I believe baking powder will work. 🙂
These are perfect. I love that they only use one stick of butter, feel like a lil craft project getting the swirls just right, and bake up so soft and craggy!! Will be making these forever. The dough works perfectly from room temp, from the fridge, and straight from the freezer with a few extra minutes in the oven. I’ve made these like 6 times and have no notes!!!
