To see people making the cookies from the series for their loved ones is the best!! The favorite from last year was definitely my Hot Cocoa Cookies. I loved seeing all your photos SO make sure you tag me @whiskfullyblessed when you make my recipes.
Here is the link to my series if you’d like to check the videos out!! Watching how to make them sometimes makes it much easier!! 12 Days of Christmas Christmas Cookies series
So far in the series this year, I have done Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Chocolate Marbled Cookies, Cranberry Orange Muffin Top Cookies, White Chocolate Coconut Macadamia Nut Cookies and now these!! I would absolutely LOVE IT if you tried any of the flavors. It’s honestly so cool to see people make my recipe and share with their friends and family. I grew up baking so it’s something special.
Baking around the holidays is my absolute favorite time to bake. There’s just something about baking at Christmas that is just so fun and special. It’s SO nostalgic. Plus I have a major sweet tooth so it’s a great excuse to bake a lot. Christmas is my favorite time of year. AND Christmas Cookies MAY have a part in that. 😉
I remember one of my first times baking was decorating Christmas cookies with my family. We’d use red hots and mini chocolate chips with the sweet sweet frosting. Not to mention all the green and red sprinkles and sanding sugar. It’s so crazy how things we do as a kid really often come back around as we get older. My mom said I was the messiest kid and always mixed things on the table and now I’m a baker. What can I say?
What you’ll need:
- butter (unsalted)
- sugar
- brown sugar

I love doing a list of what you’ll need so that way when you want to make the recipe you can easily see what you need and what you may need to pick up at the store. All the ingredients to this cookies are so easy to find whether you already have them in your kitchen or can be found online or at your local grocery store.
About Flourish Flour:
Flourish flour is packed with 5x the fiber found in regular all-purpose flour and contains prebiotic great for gut-health. So it’s better for you and your family. It starts with a better, Non-GMO wheat that has much more prebiotic fiber than regular wheat. They mill it into a flour that tastes and bakes just like your traditional flour, but with better nutrition and more support for your digestive health!
Flourish is real, all-purpose flour. So, unlike substitutes, you can use it as a direct replacement for traditional all-purpose flour in your favorite recipes. You can avoid all the cumbersome measurement conversions and all the added ingredients it takes just cover up the shortfalls of whole wheat and non-wheat flours. Just bake it and enjoy.
When I made these cookies, I was so pleased. The cookies turned out just perfect. So soft and chewy but had 5 times the amount of fiber. I definitely will be using Flourish for many recipes to come. Healthier options are so important, especially when you bake a lot.

Marbling Your Dough?
I did another recipe this year in my series where I marbled the cookie dough. They are my Peanut Butter Chocolate Marbled Cookies that went viral on tiktok. They were so good. I also have another recipe of Marbled Chocolate Chip Cookies that I did awhile back. They were scrumptious.
Marbling the dough is super simple, all you do is gather some cookie dough of each color using a cookie scoop or your hands, break it in half and the put pack together turning the dough so it becomes marbled. Roll it in your hands back into a ball. Rolling it also gives it that beautiful swirl in the middle. (See photo below.) Roll in sugar and it’s ready to bake.
Let’s Get Started!!
Marbled Christmas Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter 2 sticks, softened, unsalted
- 1 cup + 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg + 1 eggs yolk
- 2 1/2 cups Flourish flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp green food coloring
- 1/2 tsp red food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl cream your butter, 1 cup of the sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add your vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk in stir until well combined.
- Add your Flourish flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
- Split dough into 3 parts and dye one part red and one part green.
- Using a cookie scoop, scoop a little of each color. Scoop out into your hand and split it in half and marble it together. Roll it in your hand to make a ball. (This will also help swirl you dough too.)
- Continue with the rest of you dough and roll each cookie in the remaining ½ cup of sugar.
- Place on your baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes until cookies start to set.
- Remove from oven, use a round glass or cookie cutter to scoot around the edges of the cookies to make them round and thicker. Let cool.
- Serve, share & Enjoy!!
That’s it!! These cookies are SO simple to make yet SO fun and festive. I love the flavor and texture and I’m so excited to experiment more in the kitchen with Flourish Flour cause it’s incredible.

These sugar cookies are delicious and fun to make! My 2 year old loved helping me roll them in sugar too! We did not use the flour brand suggested, because we have an old reliable one. I am sure the Flourish Flour suggested is great to get more fiber into your diet and will definitely look in trying it. We also substituted coconut sugar for brown sugar, because we were out. Still very delicious and soft.

Super easy. You literally can’t mess these up. Mine took about 13-15 min to bake.
