These cake donuts are so easy to make and so yum. If you are a fan of pumpkin and chocolate together, then you will love these donuts. They are soft and yum. Even if you aren’t a big fan of pumpkin and chocolate together, you could always dip them into a glaze to frosting or even butter and cinnamon sugar.
This recipe of Chocolate Pumpkin Cake Donuts is made up of only a few ingredients and uses a cake mix. It makes these donuts come together in no time. Such a fun quick and simple recipe to make during fall. I love recipes that are like this because they are easy to make but fun and are such a fun cozy vibe.
To make these, all you do is make your cake mix as directed on the back of the package but add a can of pumpkin to it. Then the chocolate ganache is made up of just two ingredients. Heavy whipping cream and chocolate. You can use Semi sweet or dark chocolate, whatever you like best.
What should I make these for?
These Chocolate Pumpkin Cake Donuts would be so perfect to make for a fun fall picnic or date, to bring to a get together or party, to make on a cozy fall night in, or to make with friends and family. This recipe definitely brings the fall cozy vibes so anything fall/autumn themed, these would be great for!!
How many donuts does this recipe make?
This recipe makes over 2 dozen donuts!! A normal cake mix will usually make around 2 dozen (like cupcakes) but this recipe makes a lot because of the can of pumpkin. That means they are a great recipe to share with those around you and would be such a crowd pleaser.
The flavors of fall are some of my favorite flavors ever. I remember growing up, when lived in Ohio, I would always get SO excited for fall and giddy as the crisp weather rolled in. Although I now live in Florida I still get super excited for the season, especially cause the baking.
Some of my favorite flavors of fall consist of PUMPKIN (ofc!!), maple, cinnamon, brown butter, spices, brown sugar, apple and caramel. I know not everyone is a fan of pumpkin so I like to share recipes without pumpkin as well. BUT if you are a fan of pumpkin then I’m excited for you to try out my pumpkin recipes.
I have a Brown Butter Pumpkin Snickerdoodles recipe that is SO good & definitely one of my favorites. I also have Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew which is like a Starbucks copycat recipe that is so yum and doesn’t break the bank. Another one of my favorites is my Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Skillet Cookies which are absolutely delicious and made my house smell like cinnabon.
