What Makes a Cookie Recipe the best for you?
If I were to describe my ideal cookie it would be a soft chewy cookie with a gooey doughy center with crispy edges. Smooth and something that gifts it a bite with the perfect salty to sweet ratio… do you relate? OR maybe you have another preference. Perhaps a cakey fluffy cookie with frosting or even a crispy crunchy cookie with flavors that remind you of your childhood.
Whatever your IDEAL COOKIE RECIPE preference is, it’s all here and there is a recipe for you. Whether you are a professional baker or this is your first time baking, I’m going to share my favorite Christmas Cookie recipes here that ANYONE can make and enjoy.

Let’s talk ingredients:
While making cookies, ingredients do matter. Although some substitutes are ok, (for example, GLUETN FREE PEEPS, you can switch out the flour in these recipes for gluten free flour and they will most likely turn out incredible) some substitutes are not and could effect how your cookies turn out. one example is that these recipes call for butter, not margarine and using margarine you would get a different outcome.
While other ingredients wouldn’t affect it as much like if you were to use vanilla bean paste verse pure vanilla extract or imitation vanilla extract. Though that may effect the flavor, it should effect the recipe or how they turn out overall.
So this is just your friendly reminder that if you do decide to switch out an ingredient… THAT’S OK, but it may not turn out exactly like the original recipe. This doesn’t mean you have to use the most expensive butter or flour brand on the shelves to make them, but the better ingredients you bake with, most likely, the better your cookies will be.
